Footwear Fitting
At Verge of Wellness, we understand the importance of quality, well-fitting footwear to help keep your feet happy on the busiest of days. Our staff has a large amount of knowledge about various foot issues, specific needs, and specific technology built into select orthopedic footwear.
We carry high-quality brands, many of which meet The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) guidelines and are recognized as suitable for providing good foot health. We carry a wide selection of footwear in multiple widths and sizes for work, business, casual, and athletic wear.
Excellent customer service, knowledge, and quality comfortable footwear are what make us a great choice for all of your footwear needs.
Our Footwear Fitting Process:
Anyone can shop at our store for footwear. We do not require an appointment or prescription.
Please note that we do not direct bill to insurance companies, and therefore do not guarantee coverage once you submit your claim to insurance. We will take a copy of your prescription if you have one, and will provide you with a proper invoice for you to submit to your insurance.
Please also note that at this time we do not have a podiatrist on site at our store.
Insole Fitting
We offer custom orthotic insoles at our store through Footmaxx - a dynamic Canadian company offering the only truly computerized system for fabricating prescription foot orthotics. The Footmaxx system measures the weight distribution along the plantar (bottom) surface through the gait cycle, providing a dynamic measurement that takes into account the influence of the leg.
Foot orthotics are custom-made foot supports that fit inside your shoes to correct abnormal foot function, which can cause pain not only in your feet, but in your legs, knees, hips, and back as well. The Footmaxx™ System revolutionized the diagnostic accuracy of foot problems and the proper creation of custom orthotics by pioneering the use of computer technology in the analysis of foot biomechanics.
Our Insole Fitting Process:
We require an appointment to be made for custom orthotic insoles. During your appointment, one of our trained staff will complete a foot assessment, and use our 2D Footmaxx scanner to acquire a gait analysis, and/or Impression Foam Cast box to gather the necessary information to make your custom orthotics.
Insole & Footwear Fitting Questions
How long is the process for getting custom insoles?
On average, it takes 3-4 weeks for us to receive your custom insoles after the original scan and foam impressions are taken.
Please note, we do not have a podiatrist on site at our store at this time, however we do consult with them virtually via Footmaxx on an as needed basis.
Please consider this when/if you are planning to use your insurance. We cannot direct bill private insurance companies and it is the customers responsibility to check their insurance requirements before purchasing.
